Anne Frank Tree

A Horse Chestnut tree was planted to honour Anne Frank. This was the kind of tree she could see from her window while in hiding with her family from Nazi occupation in Amsterdam.

Queen Elizabeth Tree

An English Oak was planted in honour of the passing of Queen Elizabeth II on September 8, 2022.

Red Maples

There are 14 Red Maples standing guard around the perimeter of the park. These represent Canadian soldiers lost in Afghanistan.

Harlequin Maples

These trees are planted for Soldiers of Suicide. The variegated leaf representing the two sides of their struggle.

Princeton Gold Maple

This tree was planted to honour the "Soldier Shot at Dawn" and recognizes the horrors of WWI experienced by Elsworth Young. In present-day, he would have been given support for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Bowhall Maples

We remember Stalker 822. Six members of the CAF lost their lives in a helicopter crash off the coast of Greece in 2020.
